Roanoke airport was involved in World War 1 with the honor name Woodrum Field. Outside the terminal is an abstract sculpture by artist Alber Paley with 21 feet in height. Major airlines that fly out of Roanoke are American Airlines, United Airlines, Delta, and Allegiant CODE: KROA Elevation: 1175.2 feet Virginia
