Description
LA GRANDE DIXENCE – LSDX
ICAO: LSDX
Built between 1953 and 1961, the dam is the highest gravity dam in the world.
It is located in the Dix Valley and is 285 meters high.
The dam hotel built below is renowned for its high altitude restaurant.
This building dates from 1950 and was used as accommodation for the workers involved in the construction.
The helicopter landing pad is located on an overhang between the hotel and the dam.
