Description

Rhodes – the island of knights – is not only the largest island of the Dodecanese archipelago but one of the most interesting destinations in the Aegean Sea. Apart from its historical importance (at the old port stood the famous Colossus, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world), the island is a magnet for more than 5 million passengers a year, mainly because of its many beautiful beaches and excellent hotels.

With the new airport layout, Iinternational Airport Diagoras can handle even more aircraft than before. The second airport, Maritsa, is mainly used for military purposes. Occasionally, motor sport events are held there.
