[AC] Guerilla BMW M6 GT3

Description

The BMW M6 GT3 replaced the Z4 GT3 used since 2010 as a racing car for customer sport in the GT3 group.[1] With the M6 as the base vehicle, BMW wanted to eliminate the main criticisms of its predecessor. The BMW Z4 roadster was smaller than its competitors' vehicles, and the short wheelbase made it difficult to drive. Also, the production version of the Z4 was available with no more than six cylinders, which was considered too small for racing. In the absence of a smaller coupe with a V8 in the model range, BMW had to rely on the large and heavy M6 (F13), which entailed far-reaching changes. The car was slimmed down from 1925 kg in the standard condition to 1300 kg for racing, the seating position was moved back and in the middle and the transmission migrated to the rear axle as a transaxle transmission for better weight distribution. There are also extensive aerodynamic changes and other adjustments to racing operations.
